I wanted to remedy my previous work with this and have gone through these subtitles a few times over these past couple years. The USBD subs for this are horrendous however there were certain instances they were helpful enough to take inspiration from and to help with certain words that kept getting dead ends while researching. Best example is the hill ridgeline (supposed to be two words in American English I presume but the USBD subs and other examples of use cases have it as one word. Oh well, just take the red underline American English). [尾根](https://translate.google.com/?sl=ja&tl=en&text=%E5%B0%BE%E6%A0%B9&op=translate) pronounced like "one" not "onee" as romaji for those of us who can't read kanji (no google, I do not mean how to say the number one in Japanese) was quite difficult for google to comprehend so the fact that this translation was actually in the USBD subs helped verify as such. This update should be indefinitely much better and I also worked on retiming the lines. Some lines still seem like they go a little too fast but I made sure to time them after the dialogue audio finishes to the nearest frame. Styling is still identical to the previous version which is still [available](https://nyaa.raphtalia-al.ru/view/1654884) so I decided only supplying the subtitle file should be sufficient. I made a difference comparison [here](https://www.diffchecker.com/IjGMWdpH/). I didn't even have my original v1 subtitle anymore so I ended up grabbing it from [AnimeTosho](https://animetosho.org/view/evangelion-3-0-46h-bd-remux-revised-subtitles.n1654884) (RIP). End of an era. Anyways this update should be a much better base to use if anyone else wants to do anything with them. I'm not sure if either the USBD or ITBD video is any better or not but those are in the original 24fps rather than the NTSC divisible of 23.976fps which is that of the JPBD. Timing is for JPBD since that's all there was at the time.
Once upon a time I wanted to do the other special, Evangelion 3.0(-120min), however the USBD script is surprisingly well done minus being hard coded. For the time being I'm finished messing around with subtitles and going back to audio work. VHS Hi-Fi is epic.
Line 0:03:21.03,0:03:22.41 is where the typo is. Thanks.

FYI, that's not how you're meant to time. You need lead-ins and lead-outs, and lines close together should be snapped to each other.
[This recently-created guide](https://fansubbers.miraheze.org/wiki/Guide:Timing) is incomplete, but a great starting point.
Also, you have a typo in the subs with `completley`
@Animorphs Thanks, this is the kind of feedback I was hoping for. I know full well that I did not know how to time the subtitles correctly and I couldn't find the info how to correctly do it at the time. That being said, I did make sure lines ended on the last frame before a scene change. I'm always glad to see when you point out things that need to be fixed that I've seen on other people's posts so I was actually hoping you'd stop by. Continuing working on subtitles is not something I'm necessarily aspiring to do, my main goal is to continue fixing audio such as VHS Hi-Fi or fixing broken releases like USBD ADV 5.1 tracks and the international JPN 5.1 tracks from the ITBD. And that's pretty funny, I thought I had fixed completely but I guess I'm a ding dong but at least that can be easily updated (Edit: I looked back at that line and I was considering removing that one but decided to re-add it so I think I must've fat-fingered it without realizing lol). My goal for this was to at least hope to make a better base to use for the script. What I said about this when I sent it to Krycek was that this is probably the best I can do with it and I'll let the experts take it from here. Thanks again, I appreciate the info.
