(Special) Video: ITA DVD Encode 576p HEVC by PingWer74 Audio: FLAC 2.0 Japanese - FLAC 2.0 English (from BD) Sub: ita (WOR) - eng dialogue (BM&T) - eng forced (BM&T) ### Encoding Details The situation with Toradora is complicated, and unlike the [OVA](https://nyaa.raphtalia-al.ru/view/2092478), the best source is undoubtedly the DVD, specifically the Italian one, for two reasons: - It is soft telecined, which saves a huge amount of effort and potential issues related to telecined content. - It presents fewer video artifacts. Even though point two might be debatable since we are talking about DVDs, it must be said that it's definitely better than whatever garbage upscale was done on the BDs. Regarding filtering, I didn't do anything extreme. I removed the MPEG2 artifacts, removed the lowpass using a bit of AI and some tricks without ruining the rest, fixed the edges a bit, did a light deband pass, and finally added a pinch of noise on top to make it more watchable. Furthermore, I decided to stretch it to a proper 16:9 instead of using anamorphic. Some episodes, for obscure reasons, on both the JAP and ITA DVDs, are slightly cropped on the side edges, bringing the resolution to 1016 instead of 1024.
