Chiming in: Standardizing file naming would be the best thing ever. SXXEXX should be standard for all seasonal releases, ideally conforming to online databases and their season numbering (Although they can't ever agree. TVDB and AniDB are always doing things differently and it makes life harder.) Absolute numbering is also fine in a lot of cases, though.

I would personally love it if TVDB would just drop anime entirely since they're so fucking resistant to updating and fixing things based on their own personal horseshit interpretations of how things should be organized, but they're also one of the largest databases of stuff so it's tough to avoid. But yes, a standardized naming system would be welcome, simply because it avoids me having to rename every single ASW release >_> If only there was a way to automate it. Maybe some LLM product in the future will be capable of doing that, constantly running in the background and correcting the file names as they get downloaded.
