xhe-aac AKA USAC I got this off of site but doesn’t work on MPC or VLC but works on my phone under Smart Audiobook Player, the native music player, and the generic audio and video player so I have no idea why it does this. The issue is the license for that codec. It’s not a free license so either you have to find a media player that has xhe-aac playability, build your own with the latest ffmpeg or funny enough your browser. You can play it on Firefox or Edge it’s clunky but it runs… Windows media player too, Feel free to list other if works

love the title
The Media Framework of Windows 11 supports "xHE‑AAC" audio playback, so that's why browsers on there can play back these xhe-aac audio files (such as Microsoft Edge updated to version 114+). Since windows 10 doesn't have the new Media Framework of Win11, even if you put Edge 114+ on Win10, it will not play it. So hurrah for Fraunhofer updating audio standards to force people to migrate to newer more invasive O/S. Maybe you can use your FFMPEG to convert the xHE‑AAC encoded file in the M4B container into good 'ol MP3: ffmpeg -i "Easygoing Territory Defense.m4b" -c:a libmp3lame -b:a 128k output.mp3
ffmpeg does not support xHE‑AAC so that will not work @ME0W
